service
The FemailŪ 2000 SMS service extends the reach of your mail
system to the mobile phones of your contacts. By using FemailŪ 2000 you
can combine the power of your mail system with the ease, convenience and
mobility of SMS messaging.
For small to medium traffic volumes the SMS message are
send (Mobile Terminated) and received (Mobile Originated) using one or
more GSM modem devices which are connected to the FemailŪ 2000 Gateway
server.
For high volume SMS traffic a direct connection with a WASP
(Wireless Application Service Provider) is supported where messages are
exchanged via a TCP/IP connection with the WASP who is in direct contact
with the SMSC's (Short Message Service Centers) of the various mobile
phone operators.
